Azores - April 2009

Dear friends,

we think about cruises around Azores in spring 2009. Islands are known for all year present of whales, dolphins and mantas, but there are also very interesting dive sites like wrecks, walls and caves. Season for watching of the migrating sea mammals starts in April, so that's why we think we should go there. If you agree with us and you are interested to sail and dive around these beautiful, but still a little known and visited islands in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, don't hesitate to contact us about more informations.

A week on the boat should be around 490,- Euros per person (minus discounts, 5% if you buy all boat, 10% if paid 3 months in advance, 20% if paid 6 months in advance). Air temperature in April is 16-18°C, sea 15°C..

Interesting slideshow of pictures from Malta. Pictures are mostly from wreck dives, taken in start of September. The weather was beautiful, windless and the temperatures of the air around 30°C, water had unbelievable 28°C.

New videos from cruise of Valhalla in Sardinia

We got new videos made by Honza Fleischmann. He take them in July on board of Valhalla in Sardinia, this time along east coast of the island. We found out, that this part of the island has a lot´s of to offer. All other trips with Valhalla had been planed to follow this route. Have a blink at the video from wreck KT 12 or get through some small caves in area of Park Tavolara. Isn´t it inviting? :-)

Schedule of Valhalla in Canary Islands are online

For this fall season and winter season we prepared some news on Valhalla for you. In the first place we cut down the weekly price (370,- Euro per person). You can still use some of our discounts, for example 20% off if you pay 50% of the price more than 6 month in advance. We managed to increase our portfolio of a divesites about some wrecks in Tenerife (for example Il Condesito at the depth of 18 meters). With newly connected sonar it's going to be easy to localize them...and we'll might find something new too, won't we? :-)

Look at the offer of the open weeks and also try a new video from Los Gigantes, where our skipper has a fun with a shoal of rays and provoke a Angel shark. It was shoot last november by Petr Zoubek (cooperative divemaster and instructor), edited by myself.

Maintenance works on Valhalla are done

In Tuesday morning I got back with servicing team after three weeks work on Valhalla. We managed to put new antifouling on the hull of Valhalla, so she will be a bit faster. We also instaled and got to work sonar Raymarine, which will help us to find a wrecks and a fish. Sails, biminy and sewer pipes have been repaired and preparation for a new screen by a wheel has been made. There are new boxes for diving equipments and other minor work has been done.

Fabio is divemaster and presently lives in Malta. He works for a diving center OXYGEN.

During last cruise in November 2007 was taken video from dive sites in Las Galetas and Roque del Salmor.

New program "RELAX"

This program offers various mixture of activities in amazingly beautiful nature of the Canary Islands. It is primarily made for turists, who like to spend a vacations uniquely. The cruise takes place around the shore of the island Tenerife and La Gomera. We can take Valhalla also to island La Palma or El Hiero, it all depends on your requests.

Nautical , but in particular a remarkable recreational cruise on the waves of the Atlantic Ocean, combined with swimming, snorkeling, diving and all under the warm African sun.

Outstanding pictures of the passage from Canary Islands to Mediterranean on board of Valhalla

We have the honour to introduce you a wonderful pictures from a photographer Jan Třeštík which he took in April this year.Even though they didn't have a quite good weather during the passage, waves to 5 metres, their experience is positive. During the final stage of the cruise, somewhere between Gibraltar and spanish coast, they've met a huge run of the dolphins and long-finned pilot whales, which compensated the misery with the weather. As well the visits of the ports in Madeira and Gibraltar was full of the positive experiences from the flavours, colors and ever-present history.

Zpráva z freedivingového soustředění Canary Free 2007

Vážení přátelé a příznivci potápění, rád bych se s Vámi v krátkosti podělil o zážitky ze skvělé akce Canary Free 2007 a zároveň Vás informoval o tom, že na podzim roku 2006 vznikl náš vlastní freedivingový team pod názvem "DIVERS.CZ" Prozatím je team složen ze dvou reprezentantů Slovenské republiky a to Juraja Karpiše a mé maličkosti Martina Zajace. Kanáry z mořského dna - PO ZNÁMÝCH OSTROVECH NA PALUBĚ POTÁPĚČSKÉ PLACHETNICE

Patrové hotely, umělé laguny a míle švédských stolů na Kanárských ostrovech už má dnes "okoukané" mnoho českých turistů. Přesto je možné pořídit si v osvědčené zimní destinaci úplně nové a originální zážitky - na palubě plachetnice.
